There's no point in going faster or slower. If the Earth revolved around the Sun in 88 days, it would be Mercury. If it did the same job in 248 years, it would be Pluto. Moral: Go at your own pace.

BTW even if earth goes around in its own pace, it still revolves round the sun..may be we should plan to change that sometime.. :-)
