The Mandal Commission identified 3,743 caste groups as OBCs using census data gathered in the year 1931! Our politicians have been bandying this figure ever since 1980. If the idea is to bring about equality among various caste they are going about it the wrong way...
If this stupid act is implemented I would soon be asking the doctors their caste before they treat me. If the guy/girl is an mbc/sc/st I would just walk out of the clinic.
Not just me, companies too might start asking for caste of the candidate. Who then can really blame them?
